“There was a war. A terrible war, with death striking in every corner of the known galaxy. Soldiers saw their friends die by at their sides, their families enslaved, their freedoms stripped, and their very existence called into question. It didn’t seem to matter how hard they fought. The enemy seemed endless, until a treaty was made.
This treaty went against every ethical principle that a soldier stood for. It was the end of living free. Senators with their lavish lifestyles made a decision to maintain their status quo, and they had no regard for the soldiers who lost their lives, when they surrendered under such ridiculous terms. The Republic had stood against many enemies before. We had managed to repel their attacks and subdue all invasions. Even the Jedi, whose stout stance of being defenders of peace, were no match for this Eternal Empire. No longer can we rely on their guidance or leadership. We must now take matters into our own hands.
There are a few that who had the gall to stand up for what's right, the most notable being a Bothan senator by the name of Luntor Vole. Senator Vole, along with a former Republic General by the name of Jrass'azusa'uosi, created a resistance group known as Republic Justice. The political intent of the group was to garner enough support to be heard by the Senate, in hopes to revise the peace treaty. After a handful of botched assassination attempts on the senator’s life, Jrass'azusa'uosi finally began recruiting out of work soldiers and former aides as security detail. As the demand for raw materials started inflating the cost of everyday household items, and the value of the credit dropped, the support grew stronger. Republic Justice garnered far too much support to go unnoticed by the Senate, when wealthy noble houses began funding the organization. With Jrass'azusa'uosi’s military ties and Vole’s political affiliations, Republic Justice turned into a full blown movement, until finally the green light was given. The group met monthly to discuss the logistical management of the organization with the heads of planetary sectors.
This specific meeting of note happened to be on a station above Naboo, and was scheduled to continue over a three-day period. The Republic Senate caught wind of the meeting and decided that the galaxy would be a better place without Senator Vole.
Records indicate that at 0900 hours, seventeen military grade thermal detonators were simultaneously tossed into the meeting room, followed up by a hail of blaster fire. A coordinated attack was launched by Republic security forces and Zakuul Sky Troopers. The 298 delegates that worked to preserve the ways of the old Republic were assassinated.
The holonet reported that Republic Justice was accused of attempting a coup and revolt against the Republic, and that those members of the group are now among the most wanted criminals throughout the galaxy. Outraged, Jrass'azusa'uosi took full responsibility for every death at the meeting, blaming his lack of judgment and security preparation, and vowed never to fall short again.
With the few remaining forces, Jrass'azusa'uosi revised the group into a paramilitary organization and vowed to re-establish the freedoms of the Republic. Sokan Advanced Recon, born from the ashes of the Republic, continues their mission through special activities, both political and military, to exterminate all threats to the galaxy.
The moment the Eternal Empire disappeared, giving the Republic and Sith Empire their sovereignty once again, the Republic’s security was at risk. With the looming threats of old enemies, the Republic Senate has once again prepared itself for war, and began looking for the assistance of mercenary and paramilitary organizations.
A young Senator from Corellia, who had once followed the group called Republic Justice, was still sympathetic to their cause. Driven by his abhorrence of the Eternal Empire, he followed the news of those who stood up against the oppressors. After spending a lot of time and money on informants and information brokers, he came across Sokan Advanced Recon.
After reviewing a few of their known activities, he sought out the organization to join the fight against the enemies of the Republic, and Democracy. That's why you received the communications beacon. That's why you’re here. We will not allow the freedoms of the Republic to remain at risk and in danger. Lace up your boots, strap on your armor, pick up your weapon, and follow me! For the Republic!”
